Project

Nature of Semco service operations involve providing ad hoc services when customers in need and at the same time providing of periodic maintenance services related to operational assets of their customers. With increased focus on generating higher portion of their revenue from service operations and long-term perspective of service business it plays a key role in overall strategy of Semco.

Despite strategic importance of services sector, Semco used to do lot of their service work in common spreadsheet solutions and not so sophisticated legacy systems.

We partnered with Semco in their endeavor to implement IFS Service Management and together we designed and implemented a fully integrated, mobile based solution which involves registration of service requests, dispatching service technicians, assigning tasks and real-time interactive reporting.

We as their prime service partner was instrumental in installing IFS Touch App Servers (TAS – IFS Version 10), integration and setting up of technical architecture and infrastructure upon which the total solution depends on. Our involvement was extended to process mapping, automation of work processes and configuration of the work flows and mobile interfaces. Detailed reports we designed with images of object which need further service helped to augment the services portfolio of Semco and interactive interface which allows real time capturing of customer feedback created a competitive edge for Semco. At inception service solution was rolled out in Semco Denmark and by now it has been rolled out to subsidiaries in Germany.

Expert Contribution

Form the inception of project we handled system engineering aspect of project which involved server installation and configuration, integration, authentication and access management and system security. Our technical consultants worked tirelessly on mobile synchronization, reports designing and process automation related configurations and customizations. Functional consultants and business intelligence/ business reporter experts worked on business flow design and data visualization and analysis aspect of the project.
